Our Independence Plus service offers a personal assistance service providing bespoke support so you can be independent in your own home and do the things you want to do in your local community.

It is a package of support designed around you for you, to help you be as independent as possible.

Packages are highly flexible and are built around your needs, ranging from a few hours a week to more intensive support.

We can provide support for people with more complex needs such as dementia, learning disabilities, physical disabilities and life limiting conditions. We also support people who need a lighter touch to maintain their independence.

This rate is hourly. It assumes that your needs are not complex and that you live within an agreed radius of our base.  It is for support delivered between 10pm at night, through to 7am in the morning.  The carer will Sleep on site and support the customer if they should unexpectedly wake up in the night.   

The support can help you remain independent in your own home or provide support and respite to family carers, who ordinarily provide your support.

Our staff are also trained in the administration of some medications.

Leading Lives staff work in person centred ways to support and promote people to achieve their aspirations and remain as independent as they are able.

Support needs are assessed when you register with the service and individual packages and programmes agreed to best suit your needs.
