Free Counselling - North East Essex

We provide free counselling within North East Essex (Colchester and Tendring districts) for people over the age of 18. Counselling will give you the opportunity to explore any issues or difficult feelings you are having in a safe space.

We have both male and female counsellors who are qualified and accredited by the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy.

We have rooms in Colchester and Clacton. Daytime appointments are available Monday to Friday and we offer evening appointments in Colchester on Tuesdays. You and your counsellor would meet at the same time in the same place each week to talk. Each session will last 50 minutes, how many times you see your counsellor will vary. Typically people with mild to moderate depression would see a counsellor 6 to 10 times over 8 to 12 weeks.

You can either ask your GP to refer you or you can refer yourself by calling Health in Mind on 0300 330 5455.
